Ovens are designed to heat up food at a high temperature, this works by placing the dish in a hollow chamber, then closed to trap the heat inside. It will be heated for a while at a controlled temperature.
It is important to note that not all cookware or bakeware are designed to handle oven temperature, however, there is an exception to the Pyrex brand but can Pyrex go in a 450 degree oven?

CAN PYREX GO IN THE OVEN AT 350?
Are Pyrex Oven 350 degrees Safe? Yes, it is practically safe to bake with Pyrex at 350 degrees because it can withstand the thermal shock and temperature based on its material makeup.
WHY WOULD A GLASS EXPLODE IN THE OVEN?
Putting hot glass cookware on a cool surface, or roasting at high heat without enough Liquid may cause problems. All glass including Borosilicate glass cookware can experience glass breakage if exposed to sudden or uneven temperature changes.
Never put glass bakeware or cookware directly on a burner or under a broiler.
CAN PYREX GO IN A 450 DEGREE OVEN?
Yes it is safe to use Pyrex bakeware in an oven at 450 degrees Fahrenheit but you should be aware that in 1998, Corning Arc International stopped using Borosilicate glass as their major constituents, therefore, stopped being resistant to thermal shock, so while you bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit, we recommend you allow the Pyrex bakeware cool in the oven before putting it on room temperature or colder surfaces.
Furthermore, before you use Pyrex in a 450-degree oven we also recommend you Place it on a room-temperature baking sheet before putting it in the preheated oven to avoid “shocking” the glass and don’t preheat the bakeware in the oven.
Always preheat the oven first before placing Pyrex bakeware inside of it.
